Charterly is an app for managing yacht charter guest records, preference information, checklists, notes, schedules, documents, and related operational information.

Charterly may use cloud services, including Firebase or other backend services, to provide account authentication, data storage, synchronization, sharing, notifications, and backup-related functionality.
Information you enter into Charterly may be stored locally on your device and/or synced to cloud services depending on the features you use.
4. Documents, Photos, and Guest Content
You control the guest records, notes, photos, documents, and other content you add to Charterly. Do not upload information unless you have the right or permission to store and use it.
Charterly is intended for operational charter management. Users are responsible for ensuring that any guest information they enter is handled appropriately and lawfully.
5. AI and Text Extraction Features
Charterly may include features that help extract guest names or information from documents or preference sheets. When these features are used, relevant document text or extracted content may be processed by third-party AI or cloud service providers, such as OpenAI, to provide the requested feature.
Do not use these features with sensitive information unless you are comfortable with that processing.
6. Location Data
If you grant location permission, Charterly may use your location to show local weather and tide information. Location access is used for app functionality and is not used for advertising.
You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
7. Microphone and Speech Recognition
If you use dictation or speech recognition features, Charterly may request microphone and speech recognition permissions. Audio or speech input is used to convert spoken content into text for app functionality.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only as needed to:
- Provide app functionality through service providers.
- Store, sync, process, or back up data you choose to enter.

You may delete records, documents, checklist items, or other app content within the app where deletion features are available.

- Disable device permissions such as location, microphone, notifications, or photo access in system settings.
- Stop using cloud sync or shared features where available.
